ALL ON-SITE ACTIVITIES SUSPENDED

Complying with stepped-up UK Government guidance announced 16/03/2020 in the fight against Coronavirus Covod-19, to avoid social contact, we have reluctantly and with immediate effect stopped ALL on-site activities at Chester Road Baptist Church. Please stay in touch with your group organiser to find out when your group is able to re-start.

BUT.. 'church' is not a building (it never was). It's a #GrowingCommunity

To read our letter to church community, click here.

So, let’s all support one another. Who would appreciate a telephone call from you? Or even a text? How's about Skyping or FaceTiming people? What about making doorstep visits? Or chatting over the garden fence with a neighbour...  This will be an anxious time for many people. We pray, "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace." Colossians 3:15.

If you want support from a Church Minister, call Rev Danny Brierley 07840 046020 or email DannyBrierley@ChesterRoadBaptist.org.uk

hand-washing - Lords Prayer-paWhat are we doing?
We at Chester Road Baptist Church are alert to the threat of Coronavirus.

To read our Risk Assessment and strategies, click here.

We're 'open' and actively engaged in mission and ministry. Whilst we don't want to over-react, neither must we be complacent.

  1. Everyone All of us have both a personal and shared responsibility to follow public health instructions and advice from the UK Government/ Public Health England.
  2. Greet one another with a holy elbow. Ordinarily, we shake hands, hug, share the peace. Just for now, let's go all-in for elbows.
  3. Catch it. Bin it. Kill it. Sometimes, the best actions are the most simple. Always sneeze into a tissue or your upper arm. (Never into your hands.)
  4. Hand-washing. Frequent and thorough hand-washing throughout the day is vital. Each time, wash/ scrub for 20 seconds - long enough to recite the Lord's Prayer!
  5. Cleaning. We've revised our on-site cleaning schedule and cleaning materials, so as to be more antiviral.
  6. Communion. We already use individual cups. Now we're using pre-cut cubes of bread to reduce risk of cross-contamination.
